Question by : How fast can my boyfriend recieve mail from Oxnard to Camp Pendleton in San Diego?
I’m planning on sending my boyfriend/father of our baby mail everyday(depending how many stamps I can get) when I hear from him, it’s been almost a week since he left for bootcamp.
Does anyone know how fast mail travels from Oxnard to San Diego? How long does it take? I don’t want him to get lonely(even though ya, he’ll get mail from his family and friends), and I wanna keep him updated on our baby.

Camp P isn’t where they do Marine Basic, it is about 45 minutes north of San Diego in Oceanside. That is a base where they can do schooling and be stationed.
If he is at MCRD San Diego (Marine Corps Recruit Depot) where they do Basic then that is right in San Diego by the airport. It will probably take 2 to 3 days for mail to be received there, but when he gets it will be the question, as mail is not always handed out each day to the Recruits.

the first guy is right, also, mail gets delivered to the base, where they have their own sort of “post office”, so add a day or 2. Also, in case you need to know this, if he gets sent to iraq, mail takes 3-6weeks
