Question by : How do I help my girlfriend get over me cheating?
Whilst on vacation I had sex with someone else. I told my girlfriend about it, and she says she doesn’t want this to split us up. So I was just wondering whether anybody had any advice on how to help her get through it. She’s been crying a lot and all that kind of stuff, I just don’t really know how to help her as I feel I have done all I can other than just be here.

Well, tell her your really sorry and explain to her why you cheated in the first place. I can understand why she doesn’t trust you right now. You were unfaithful and stealth. Girls don’t like guys who go behind their backs. If she doesn’t take you back then there is a fault of both sides. You weren’t suppose to cheat in the first place and she wasn’t suppose to know about it!
Bring the other girl in for a 3some your gf is just made because she feels left out.

It’s notgonna be easy for her, and maybe she just needs some time to herself right now to heal. Maybe ask her if there’s anything you could do to make it easier on her. Show up at her house randomly with flowers and a sappy love letter. I bet she’d get right over it
There is nothing you can do, you fucked up. You can tell her she gets a pass for cheating, that’s as close as you’ll get.
Well, to tell you the truth, this was a terrible thing to do to her. Most girls, including myself, would probably have dumped you right there. But you absolutely did the right thing by telling her right away and I greatly applaud you for that.
Instead of acting like she “just needs to get over it” (to her face, anyway), I suggest you tell her as much as possible how absolutely sorry you are for treating her like that. Over the next week or so, or longer if she hasn’t let it go by then, help her remember why she wants to be with you to start with. Do all the nice things you possibly can for her, treat her to things you know she loves, be as sweet and respectful as you can.
Another important thing to getting her over it is to have sex with her. As strange as it may sound, it changes her mind a lot because, after you opened up to her about having sexual thoughts & desires about another woman, she may have started to think you had them less about her. Prove to her that you still want her just as much as you ever did. Most importantly, never tell her that you “just want her to get over it”. Also never try to act like what you did was OK.
