Question by : My friend needs help convincing his girlfriend to get an abortion. What advice should I give him?
One of my best friends recently had sex with his girlfriend. Unfortunately in the heat of the moment he did not wear protection. Last week he found out that she is pregnant. He’s now doing everything he can to convince his girlfriend to get an abortion. My friend’s not ready to be a father yet.
What advice should I give my friend? Also, how would God feel about an abortion?

He isn’t having the child and won’t feel the extreme guilt and remorse that she will. Why doesn’t he help her with adoption options?

You should tell him he will be an accessory to the murder of an innocent, helpless unborn child. It’s ridiculous to think that one can so cavalierly end a life just because one feels he is not ready for fatherhood. Tell him to keep his pants zipped!

I think you should turn to putting up the kid for adoption, because seriously – your friends, like many others, are obviously too stupid to be having sex… but really – either way, its going to be her decision in the end…

If a human person does not have intinisrc worth in the womb, it never has. The problem as I see it is that the Western democracies can hardly tell China how to act, when they have themselves undermined human nature, by calling unborn human beings blobs of tissue . I mean, come on, get real people. Lets end all abortion. Its not good the children, nor for women in the Western world either, although there is an illusion of choice here. Read the studies on psychological trauma which follows. Lets not be hypocrites.
You should find a way to tell him abortion is murder, and not a convenient way to make a mistake go away.
If he felt he was ready to have sex, then he should be ready for the consequences (whether he likes them or not).
God doesn’t exists so that has no relevance. Anyway, in the end only she can decide which really isn’t fair. He will also be responsible for taking care of that kid not just her so she should consider his opinion too. She should know that she has options and that having a kid ends her life as she knows it. She and he will be responsible for that kid first, no more or play and only responsibility. Plenty of women get abortions and there is no reason she can’t have one. He should tell her he won’t be able to support the child financially or emotionally and that the child would end up unhappy. There is always time later on in life to have children but an unplanned pregnancy isn’t the way to bring a kid into this world. You can always have another child but you can’t return a child you already have.
If all else fails tell her that she will get fat, stretch marks, and a stretched vagina. Women care alot about their looks and if she realizes she will never look the same again she might reconsider having it.

First off, tell the girl you love her, that you want to be with her and you can see yourself having a family with her at some point in the future, but that now is not the best time in your lives. “I want to have a baby with you, but not right now”- next, your reasons should be her centered- if he wants to do this right he has to make it appear he’s out for her best interests, he cares about her and he’s in it for the long haul.
If she decides to keep it though he should nut up and be a man.

He nor you have no right what so ever to try and “convince” her to have an abortion! You both need a kick in the as sss!! He isn’t ready to be a father…well he should have thought about that BEFORE having unprotected sex!!
Regardless of what she chooses she is going to be the one that has to live with her decision which is why it is HER decision and her’s alone!!

Tell her it is God’s desire that she receives an abortion because there are to many people on the planet already

How-about what his girlfriend wants? Seems to me there is only a selfish motive here. – And you have the cheek to ask what GOD would think……….?

Get him to ask her if she’s really ready to have a baby. Let her understand that might screw up finishing high school, going to college, or having a career. Ask her if she has the money to take care of a baby. Be sure that she understands that abortion is a simple medical procedure and there is little risk to having one. Abortions cost around $ 350, or more. The costs and health risks increase after the first 3 months of pregnancy. Remind her that it’s harder to get an abortion after 3 months, so, if she wants to do it she needs to get help soon. Other than that there’s nothing you can do. Its HER body and you can’t force her into doing something she doesn’t want to do with it.

Your advice to your friend should be this: He is now a father. Even an abortion can’t change that. Even if he isn’t ready to be a father, he had sex, which (naturally) resulted in a child. Abortion won’t make him an un-father, it will make him the father of a dead baby.
Please let him know that there are people to help him. He is not alone, and neither is his girlfriend. God gave us 10 Commandments to live by, one of them being “You shall not kill”. Since abortion ends the life of the baby, God does not approve of it. God is all-loving, and all-merciful though. He forgives sins, including abortion.
